An Uncommon Murder

This is an old book published in 1992, but that does not detract from the quality of the read. Donald has written a cold case story which turns hot as Alex Tanner uncovers, bit by bit, facts and memories that lead to solving the old crime.

Donald’s sluth, a TV researcher, accepts an assignment to investigate the shooting of Lord Sherwin in the fifties, a case never solved. Along the way she discovers the inner workings of a dysfunctional family and a bit more about her own disfunction. As you might guess, the story takes place in England.

Donald wrote several books in the eighties before turning to the Notting Hill series of five books, all written in the nineties.
